If you haven’t been to a&bé Bridal Shop yet, you are missing out. If you haven’t met Amanda of Amanda Marie Studios, you’re really missing out! A few weeks back we had the pleasure of providing some floral pieces for the Rebecca Schoneveld trunk show (we’ll get back to the beauty of her collection in just a minute). The show was hosted by a&bé, and Amanda was kind enough to stop by shoot a few pictures for us(on her birthday no less!).
Both a&bé and Amanda are new to town, and BOY are we happy about it. The original a&bé bridal is based out of Denver, and forged their reputation with their serious emphasis on American made designs. With a price point ranging from $500-$5000, there’s not a soul they can’t please. Lucky us Twin Cities: they opened a second location this summer right in the beautiful Loring Park neighborhood. The aesthetic is a pleasant walk from classic beauty all the way to modern Bohemian. Hipster brides everywhere rejoice! If the selection of pretty isn’t enough to sweep you off your feet, the amazing stylists that work there will. They will meet and greet you with warm smiles (and a cool glass of bubbly), and before you know it, they will make you feel like your best friend, helping you pick the most important dress of your life. Plus, when you’re done, you can pop over to the delicious new Third Bird for some craft cocktails and interesting bites.
Amanda isn’t exactly new to town, but she’s moved back to Minnesota after a five year stint in Oregon, where she was busy building a booming photography business. Her perfect balance of editorial and documentary style photography will leave you with images that all but take your breath away. With an incredible eye for lighting, and an innate ability to capture human emotion, she is a force to be reckoned with in the bridal industry. The word ‘epic’ comes to mind. We feel stupid lucky to call her our friend.
But seriously back to Rebecca Schoneveld, who is the perfect example of what a&bé is all about. Based out of Brooklyn, her mix of romantic and modern design make her dresses both effortless and impactful. We chose to make a mixture of bouquets and floral crowns for the ladies to try on with their potential gowns to compliment Rebecca’s thoughtful designs.
